Sherrill Katsi Cook Barreiro, Midwife, presented on March 18th at 3:25pm in a concurrent session entitled “Caring for All Women; Increasing Diversity in the Profession” which addressed meeting the needs of the full demographic range of childbearing women. This imperative is a matter of social justice and equity, and is essential to reducing disparities in birth outcomes. What is the need and why aren’t we there yet?
