Logistics For All CPM Symposium Attendees
LODGING AT AIRLIE:
When you register at www.cpmsymposium.com, we will reserve your room at Airlie Center for you; you do not need to make reservations directly at Airlie Center. All rooms for symposium participants are double occupancy. After you register, if you have a roommate request please contact Susan Smartt Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org.
LODGING OPTIONS AFTER CLOSE OF SYMPOSIUM, MONDAY MARCH 19
The Symposium closes at 5:30 PM, Monday, March 19. If you need lodging for that evening, we have two options to offer:
Near Dulles Airport:
Hampton Inn Dulles/Cascades, Tel: 703.450.9595.
Regular rate is $169 + tax for a double room including complimentary breakfast, free shuttle service to surrounding restaurants and shopping, and free airport shuttle service. Please also notify Susan Smartt Cook at email@example.com, if you plan to stay here since we will seek a discounted group rate if participants reserve 6 or more rooms.
Extra night at Airlie:
The cost for extending your stay at Airlie is $175/person single occupancy/ $145/person double, including dinner and breakfast. Look here for easy registration information.
TRAVEL TO AND FROM SYMPOSIUM:
Airlie Center is located near Warrenton, Virginia, 50 miles southwest of Washington, DC, approximately 45 minutes from Dulles International Airport, and 1 hour from National Airport. Washington Flyer metered taxi service, is approximately $70 one-way from Dulles to Airlie.
Special Travel Offer for CPM Symposium Attendees
Louise Gross, Travel Consultant in Miami, Florida is offering the following discount to anyone participating in the CPM Symposium 2012:
There will be a 5% discount off any American Airlines flights to all Washington DC airports. (DCA,IAD, BWI) There is a 10 person minimum for this discount.
1. Days of travel are between March 14, 2012 to March 21, 2012.
2. Tickets must be paid for by credit card. Wylly’s Travel will do the ticketing.

4. There will be a $35.00 processing fee.
5. Avis cars can be arranged at a special rate. Call 1 800 331-1600 and use code AWD#B136001.
6. When requesting your reservation, please include your name exactly as on your documents, address, phone#, date of birth and credit card #. Also frequent flyer # and seat preference.
Ground transportation – Ride Shares

For those who are driving to Airlie Center, directions can be found here. There is no charge for parking.
Lobby Day Logistics
We hope you will be able to participate in the optional Lobby Day on Capitol Hill on Friday, March 16th. We will work with Health Policy Source, our lobby firm, to assist you in securing visits with your Congress members ahead of time. This is a unique opportunity to have your voice heard and learn about advocacy for CPMs. In order for us to plan the day effectively, please contact Susan Smartt Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 1 if you are planning to attend.
Schedule for Friday, March 16:
Meet at Health Policy Source office, 801 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Suite 625A, Washington, DC 20004. We will have coffee together and prepare for our visits on the Hill. You will receive advance materials by email and informational packets this morning to use when visiting your Congress members. Luggage may be left in the office for the day.
10 – 2 PM
Visit congressional offices
Return to Health Policy Source office to retrieve our luggage and be picked up by Country Coach at 2:30pm for transport to Airlie.
Lodging for Thursday eve, March 15
We suggest that all Lobby Day participants arriving from out of town stay at the Hampton Inn, 4800 Leesburg Pike, Alexandria, VA 22302, Tel 703.671.4800, so that we can travel together to Health Policy Source and the Hill on Friday morning. The rate for the hotel is $149 + tax, double occupancy, including complimentary breakfast. If you need help arranging a roommate, please contact Susan Smartt Cook at email@example.com by March 1. There is no charge for parking at the Hampton Inn.
Ground transportation for Lobby Day participants
The estimated cost of taxi service from Dulles Airport to the Hampton Inn is $60. Metro transportation is not feasible. Be sure to complete form found above under Ground transportation – Ride Shares
To D.C. from Hampton Inn:
Taxi from Hampton Inn to Health Policy Source office, estimated cost of $10 per person in cash. Taxi roundtrip from Health Policy Source office to Capitol Hill, estimated cost of $10 per person in cash.
To Airlie from D.C.:
The estimated cost of Country Coach to Airlie Center is $30 per person to be paid in cash at the time of departure.
